We know you as the character’s you’ve embodied! Most especially as ‘Lashe’ in the recent Netflix series “Madam Koi Koi. But tell us who Chuks Joseph is (what’s your story)
Chuks is a calm, zero stress individual. Chatty sometimes and quiet most of the times. Music lover and a home body.

How did you find yourself in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry? How did acting begin for you?
Acting started after I became the first runner up on a model pageant show, Mr Ideal Nig late 2020. My prize came with a 3 month free acting class, which I did from September through December. Attending this acting class sparked my interest more in acting, and I started attending auditions; practicing and recording monologues. My first major role didn’t come till mid 2021; after which I attended a more advanced & also free acting course at EbonyLife creative academy, where I learnt more, had a full grasp of the entirety of filmmaking and honed my craft in the process. The rest after then has been history.
What was it like being on the set of Madam Koi Koi? And what has been the weirdest reaction from fans.
Filming on Madam Koi Koi was an experience, from the scale of the project to the actors I shared the screen with especially Ireti Doyle, it was a learning experience for me, because it was an uncomfortable role, so I had to challenge & stretch myself to give a believable performance while keeping it real.
The reactions from people that have watched the film has been crazy. Because of how terrible my character was, there’s a genuine hate and disgust for my character, but the beauty of it was people seeing the real me, maybe in person or my social media, seeing the difference between Chuks & Lashe; and acknowledging how good of a performance it was.
What has been the most challenging role you’ve played?
It’s hard to pick because both Dark October & Madam Koi Koi were difficult roles, but i think playing Tizzy on Dark October has been the most challenging so far.
In the Nigerian Entertainment world today. Who would you say inspires you to become more in terms of Acting?
It’s seeing how our art is beginning to appeal more to the global audience, so being among of the set of entertainers especially in the filmmaking space that would take Nollywood global is exciting and inspiring.
